Vegan Christmas Gift Guide - For her 2019

Whether you are looking for a gift for a vegan loved one, or if you are plant based yourself and only want to spend your money on ethical gifts for others, there will be something in this gift guide for you. This gift guide offers vegan options for quintessential Christmas gifts as well as what I hope are a few brand new ideas.

I can honestly say that I love the whole process of gift giving, from thinking of what the individual person would love to receive, selecting the perfect gift, fiddling with the wrapping to get it just right and of course seeing the surprised and happy look on their face when they finally open the gift. Christmas is one of my favourite times of the year because for those of us in the Southern Hemisphere it is not only about the magic of gifting and spending time with your family, but it is the start of summer, so the weather is warm and gorgeous, it is the end of the School year and work year for some and the start of the summer holiday season. All this combined makes this time of the year pretty special.

It is my sincere hope that you will find inspiration in this gift guide for the special people in your life.

Disclaimer: ALL of the products in this gift guide were purchased by me, using my own money. This is not a sponsored post.

OK so lets get into the gift guide - for her 2019.

BEAUTY

Who doesn't love a new makeup pallet? I know that I love getting new makeup as gifts, from new brands that I haven't tried out yet, higher end products that I wouldn't normally buy for myself or a special product I've had my eye on, there is sure to something for everyone.

The great thing is that more and more companies are releasing vegan products and there are entire brands who are cruelty free. It is worth noting though that not all cruelty free products are necessarily vegan so you will need to check each item individually to make sure.

It is getting easier to tell which products are vegan and cruelty free as the product labels now clearly state cruelty free and vegan as applicable. Another new addition is the vegan category on big makeup websites like Mecca Maxima, Sephora and even some beauty brands are doing it like Too Faced and Urban Decay. That makes finding out which products are vegan so much easier.

I was trying to find a Christmas themed makeup pallet but other than Too Faced I couldn't really find any this year. And the Too Faced pallets that contain eye shadows are unfortunately NOT vegan.

The palette I chose for the 2019 gift guide is Stars in Her Eyes (Chocolate Eyeshadow Palette) from Sportsgirl Beauty.

This pallet has 18 matte, shimmer and glitter shades in chocolate themed colours. This palette retails for AUD29.95 which is a great price point for a quality vegan palette.

This would be a great gift for a girlfriend or sister and there were several other vegan palettes to choose from to suit their own personal look.

The colours are rich, very pigmented and blend together well on the skin.

SKIN CARE

Conveniently, I've been on the look out for an affordable skin care set and definitely found it! The All is Calm, All is Bright Mario Badescu skin care set is a limited edition holiday set has 5 nighttime specific skin care products to calm and brighten skin.

The set include:

Enzyme cleansing gel

Witch hazel and lavender toner

Facial spray with aloe, chamomile and lavender

Vitamin C serum

Seaweed night cream

These products are designed to refresh and re-balance skin, restoring luminosity and leaving you fresh faced and glowing. I purchased this from Mecca for AUD 43.00. I LOVE the Mario Badescu rose water facial spray so am very excited to try out these products so this is definitely a set I will be keeping for myself!

FASHION

In the last few years, great strides have been made in plant based fashion. New plant based leathers and alternative fabrics have burst on the scene proving that plant based options can be high quality with a designer look. There are more options than ever to pick up great looking, completely cruelty free fashion accessories to suit any budget and style.

I am super excited to show you the By the Sea Collection cork bag in the style Kiki in vivid.

I love a good clutch and this one is beautiful. More a day time look, the vivid colours of the bag elevate what is an interesting fabric choice for a bag and offers a fun and quirky twist. This bag is beautifully made, with high quality fixtures and I love that it is a classic style but the vivid cork keeps it edgy. This unique bag will easily fit a large iPhone, small card holder, lippy & keys. All of the essentials at least! It also comes with a long handle so it can be used as a cross body bag as well.

By the Sea Collection offers many different styles of cork bags on their website from card holders, wallets to tote bags and travel accessories. There really is something for everyone in this collection.

PAMPER

This next gift is perfect for the special lady in your life no matter where you are in the world. Give the gift of a beautiful robe and slippers and you can't go wrong. As I mentioned earlier, we are in heading into summer so I chose a lightweight cotton robe and open toe slippers, both from Target for this gift guide.

Even in summer the early mornings and evenings can be a little chilly and I personally love to put my slippers on when I get home from work and I'm sure I'm not the only one! This gift will be sure to put a smile on the face of your wife, mum, sister or girlfriend.

The great thing about this gift suggestions is if you do live in a colder climate or a buying a gift for someone who does then you could go for a more traditional warm and cosy robe and slippers set instead and you can always find the right fabric and style to suit your loved one.

PLANT

This one may seem a little strange, but how about you give the gift from nature and give a plant! I have been lucky enough to receive a number of plants as gifts over the years, ones I still have to this day and have also given them out as gifts too. A plant brings life, colour and vibrancy to any space and this gift is so customisable and unique that it is sure to be a hit.

The options are almost endless. Is your friend a foody? Do they love to spend time in their garden? Do they like flowers or will this be the first green living item in their home? Depending on the person and their living situation you can go small and simple with an edible herb that can sit on their kitchen counter all the way to a larger outdoor plant for their patio or garden.

Not only can you select the right plant to suit the person, but the pot too! There are literally hundreds of different colour, size and style options to choose from to match any home decor and style.

I chose this gorgeous marble style ceramic pot for the basil plant since basil is in season right now. This would go well on a kitchen counter and is neutral enough to fit with most styles with a pop of colour around the base to make it interesting.

I also chose this large white pot with silver stone chips to replant this avocado tree that we grew from a seed. You want to make sure the pot you choose is appropriate for indoor or outdoor use and is the right size for the plant you have selected.

If you are not sure, the staff at your local garden centre and nursery will no doubt be happy to assist you and most even offer plants already in pots as perfect gifts.

And its a wrap! That's it for the 2019 Vegan Christmas Gift Guide - For Her. I hope you found plenty of inspiration to help you select the perfect gift for the loved ones in your life. I have linked all of the products mentioned in the list below.
